All GTK applications that could take advantage of Cairo where rebuilt or upgraded.
The system panel is now quite complete with new graphical (GTK) configuration tools : Userconfig is a powerful user management utility, Networkconfig will make it easy to setup the network, there is also Serviceconfig, Videoconfig, Netpkg (graphical version), Cups manager to setup the printing system, and Localeconfig to choose system language.
By demand of the users the installer has been striped down to remove the package selection step, which was considered unneeded by many on a system that provides 1 application for 1 task. USB storage devices detection was improved and USB sticks can now be automounted from the XFCE panel.
